Don't make me challenge you to a ski off.

Calm down man.......I just find it tough to care about competing in the BMMC. And that's OK.

im calm. and i said i thought you were good enough make it, but i also think the pressure on you would be huge... which is the real reason you wont do it. give the people what they want, show everyone what it means to ski the highway star way.
dont give me that crap about not caring about the BMMC, you're there every year and it only takes 20 seconds to find out if you really are top 30 at killington

20 seconds? Lol. While I could do it "cold" and probably do ok, I'm not going to show up for any comp without some sort of prep and training. I just don't ski zipper line moguls very often and would need to spend a bit of time to get back up to par.

Highway Star factoid: I spent most of the 90's skiing bumps and jumping. I've lost more bump skiing and jumping skill than most people have, by not practicing.

You think we "train" for this event? First off, you know the terrain at Killington. Where would we practicing today? There's no zipper lines. They groomed the hell out of it this past weekend. There have been a few areas in the past few weekends that have grown some bumps, but nothing like you will see at the BMMC. A few of us, such as myself, get most of our "mogul training" at Sundown. You've seen the terrain there. We all pretty much do this event "cold". So what's it gonna be? Are you just gonna lay down?

come on HWS, the people want to see you ski it. you could bring back the BMMC to its pre-2008 prowess all by yourself. the crowd that would show up (some to watch you fail, some to watch you rip) would be huge!! We all do it cold. we also do it completely hungover from the nite before. a couple warm up runs in the morning and then yes, its a 20 second run. at the end of the day they post the brackets for the next days duals, so you know who you are skiing against on day 2 (and who to buy shots for that nite). the trash talking that goes on at the pickle that nite is right up your alley

Prediction: Highway Gnar will never, in a million years, enter the BMMC.

I think the Pond Skimming competition is a far better platform for determining who the better skier is.

You may be on to something. How about a mogul course with a pond skim right the middle? And to make it more interesting, each racer would have to hit the pond at an angle in order to switch sides...
