Was a very very sick day at Stowe. VERY underreported conditions. It hasn't stopped snowing since wednesday.

Well, that makes my decision not to do Teardrop today seem very lame! But I really needed the day off after yesterday's extended tour of duty. My body just said no this morning.

I didn't ski today but I did go up to LP to check things out. Plenty of coverage everywhere and was abit surprised by the amount of cars in the parking lots, a fair number of out-of-state plates as well. All the parking lots were full, even the lower overflow lots.

The people I talked to said the top was skiing pretty nice but the bottom was getting pretty sloppy by the afternoon. Still, wouldn't be surprised if this was the busiest Sat in mid April ever. The local motels didn't look to be very busy tho.

Down in town there is more green than white but I guess that's going to change in a couple of days.

Castlerock has great. I would say that castlerock run had the best conditions in my opinion. A little fog at the top not to bad. Heavens gate was good too but the fog at the top most of the morning was quite thick and visibility was limited. Quite a few people there, the lodge was packed. On the drive up rain changed to snow on the access road.

Liftline at Castlerock was nuts. The upper rockbands/cliffs are almost completely buried. Woods lines that aren't even normally skiable are opening up all over the mountain. I think it's safe to say that there hasn't been this much snow in the mts since Winter 2000-2001.

agreed. Just skied off bear head. Very full of snow. Had to lay down twice on the ridgeline, the winds are REALLY kicking up there. White out conditions at 4000 feet.
