serious omissions include burke and black mountain (nh), imo. i would have thought cranmore would be up there too. burke has the more challenging stuff (for dad, lol!!) and longer runs and is the most glaring omission from the list.

Surprised that Smuggs is number 6 I would thing they would be in the top 3. Congrats to Ascutney on number one! It's where i learned to ski.

I agree TwinTips. Smuggs is the best ski vacations our family ( 3 young children under 10) has ever gone on. The reason of course, the instructors for the kids and adults were awesome. The kids had so much fun that by the third morning they got up an hour early to go out and ski before their class was ready. Access to quality babysitters so mom and dad can go out for the evening was also nice.

One that I believed should have been more near the front are Okemo and Smuggs. Killington #4 makes no sense to me. Even though you have Rams Head it gets crowded. And then If you get slit up you have to search all what, 8 lodges not including summit ones?

Seems you may have made the same mistake I usually make...failure to read/comprehend entire article....list is alphabetical.

Agree that Killington is the odd entry.

I've heard great things about Smuggs.

A great list of laces to hit....if only we had snow. :<
