Another fantastic weekend to close out the year @ Magic! Coverage was great, snow was soft, beer was cold, & smiles were abundant. I’d like to personally thank the Magic crew for all their hard work this year. Those who visited this year know exactly what I’m talking about, those who have not do yourselves a favor & get there next season.

The skiing this weekend was nothing short of exceptional. Sorry for the lack of action pics but you’ll have to take my word for it. Everything was skiable with 2” of peel away corn. Magician from the top, Blackline, Talisman, Twilight Zone & Goniff had some of the best spring conditions I’ve ever skied.

Phil & Amy had such a good inaugural season @ Magic they pulled the trigger on a share. You guys rock!!!!!

We figured what better reason for a party?

Amy was so stoked she had to let everyone see for themselves.

If director of ski school Candace is not careful, I’m going to steal her new pup. Meet Tonka! Give him a scratch if you see him roaming around next year. He’ll look a bit different. Like 5 times the size of this different.

Again, sorry for the lack of action shots but I just felt the need to put something on here. The weekend was too fun not to. Thank you Magic for one of the best winters of my life. Your efforts will not be forgotten.

It was indeed a great weekend and way to cap off a stellar season! Conditions were great, and the snowbar was awesome.

I agree, it was a fantastic closing day Sunday! Perfect spring conditions all over the mountain. TZ and Goniffs were excellent. Upper Magician was a test of nerves with a 5 foot strip of snow over one of the steepest sections with jagged rocks on the right and trees on the left, worth doing at least once.

My favorite run was the 2nd to last of the day with a big group including Terrence and Matt L, a couple guys who I always see working not skiing, Witch to Blackline including a grass chute entrance, a mandatory air over rock ledge, soft corn bumps and ending with creamy turns to the deck and cold beers waiting. Good stuff!
