A hill I've been eyeing for a while. Booted up estimated 100' vert; scouted out some nice little tree lines, fairly short but respectable pitch but will need more cover for that. Got a few decent turns and a little speed toward the end on an open slope with maybe 3" untracked on fast grass. "No face shots but no core shots," as they say. One and done - gotta go buy the xmas tree now.

Dick Cheney never posted photos of his undisclosed location and I won't of mine.

Also tried a little x-c in the front yard this a.m. but too sticky to be much fun.

and though this pic doesn't show them too well, there are some decent lines to be had in here with more cover:

I've gotta get back there later this week to vanquish some would-be snow snakes.

It's mostly OK but only when I was exiting did I discover part of it is a little questionable. Now that I know, in the future I'll stick to those woods, definitely public land.

Mildcat, how do you define "useful" in a TR? I'd like to think there was entertainment value in a report on turns (I think I made three in all!) on a base of 3" and melting. There wasn't much point beyond that.

Useless was the wrong word. :dunce: The TR was entertaining but if you don't want to disclose the location then what's the purpose of it?

This is a good discussion to have. Even if I did disclose the location it wouldn't serve much "purpose" to most people because it's small (as I say, ~100' vert) and never would be worth a long drive. I do hope/plan to find more formidable "undisclosed locations" but feel that people who go to that effort have a right IMO not to make it easy for hordes to descend on what they've found. I've seen some great TRs that don't divulge locations but still provide stoke/inspiration on multiple levels.
