I've heard lots of descriptions of up slope phenomena. I've even heard Winnchill's which is top-rated.
I was watching Warren Miller's "Off the Grid" (again) last night. There was a segment done by a meterologist on upslope. He specifically called out Steamboat and showed with animated graphics and then with film footage of the snow coming in, the orientation, prevailing winds, storm winds, why wind is good and not good, and what happens on the slopes and in the woods. A very, very good visual description. Worth a look by all weather dweebs.
