Funny thing, most of the chairs out there don't have safety bars. My wife was a bit freaked by that at first.

it got me a bit nervous at times, the wife was really freaked....whats the deal with them not having the safty bar...the week before we got there a patroler had a ceasure on the lift and slid right off the chair to his death,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

its the best part about alta, you don't have worry about those idoits who whip the bar down before you even leave the station, last saterday at wildcat i got hit in the head 4 times. Its actually the main reason why I always wear a helmet.

Yeah, it is awful. There was one day that it hit 60 at the base, yet there was no slush. From what I heard the moisture in the snow is so low that the water evaporates as quick as the snow melts. Pretty weird.
