Resort or Ski Area: Vail

Conditions: Pack powder with some powder stashes, Spring corn in the bowl with direct sunlight

Trip Report: Day 5 of the Colorado ski trip. Can you say WARM? It was close to 50. The bowls which were getting pounded my the sun were tough to ski. There were powder stashes all over the place but you had to avoid them. They were wet and heavy as the sun began to melt them away.

Blue Sky Basin however was in excellent condition. I even convinced the Mrs. to huck the cornice on Lovers Leap. Here are a few pics and a quick video.

Wow that is a 100% flashback for me, watching my buddy (who is six foot six) do a similar "huck". His fall wasn't as bad, but your wife might have been more graceful!

We ended up in a similar situation at Kicking Horse. We rounded the corner and where faced with a pretty steep bowl. Thankfully she made it, a fall would have sucked big time. It's the whole leaning back thing that screws people up.
