Resort or Ski Area: Vail, CO

Conditions: Bluebird day, groomers, found some snow in the trees. Finally got challenged

Trip Report: Woke up a little late and got to Vail around 12. My girlfriend works for Octagon Sports Marketing and she was there working an account for Sprint so that was an extra incentive for us to make the 45 minute trek over. I have to say I was seriously impressed. I've never ridden Vail *not that I can remember* and it was HUGE. Not everything was open but we made it top to bottom. Hopefully we get a big snow storm here. We'll make the trip back once that happens so we can ride those back bowls and *pray* for that nice powder!

We parked along the Vail Village and took the Vista Bahn Express to either Wildwood Express or Mountain Top Express. We ended up dropping into some trees along Riva Glade and found some good snow. Holy moly my legs were burning and I was out of breath but it was worth it. Finally got to hit some bumps along the Meadows off of Wildwood Express. It was nice to ski some moguls and steeper terrain compared to what was open at Keystone and Breck. Made me want to look into some lessons this coming week and really nail down my technique..

I was thoroughly satisfied with Vail and I can not wait to make it back this season.
A couple of pics....enjoy. (being silly,....disregard.) I'll take better pics in the TR's to come..So much excitement getting to the mountain every other day on off work hours .. Just taking it all in.
