This is so effin cool:

Click on the 06.08.07 - From Ignition to Splashdown video. You can see the launch, when the SRBs separate from the shuttle and then the shuttle flies on (really cool 8)) and then the SRBs descend back to earth when you can also see the plume from the launch! It's also pretty cool when you can view each SRB detach as seen from the other SRB. Finally, they splash down. Cool video!

Cool stuff Greg, i was down in Orlando when the Shuttle took off, its amazing that 50miles away how bright orange that is when its going up in the middle of the day.. And the trail of puffy clouds from its engines it leaves behind is unreal and stays in the air at least an hour.

Hey DMC i got to drive around a place called the refuge, private beaches a few miles from canaveral that you can see all 3 launch pads, i believe it was only 35bucks for a season pass, anyways u drive around and i keep seeing these little man made cave type structures, finally i had to ask what the hell they were and that is where the camera people hide inside from risk of falling debree from the shuttle take offs.

That's pretty amazing- from how durable the cameras are, to how synchronized the movements of the two boosters is, to how close they splash down. Amazing. NASA's pretty cool.
