Surfing the web this afternoon and ended up at Bristol Mountain's (Western New York) web site. Their detailed trail map includes video links. Kinda cool. I have not seen this done before.

It's different. Some of the video makes you dizzy (who cares in August) and there is a moving dot on the trail map itself that is annoying, but overall I like the idea.

it is kind of interesting to see the videos. I clicked on the Comet video (Double Black diamond trail) expecting to see a crazy steep bump field. Instead it was a moderately wide/sloped groomer. Maybe the video does not do the trail's difficulty justice. :confused:

On the Jay Peak interactive trail map they have links to video for a few of the trails, although the links do not seem to be working currently.

Wow tough crowd t at Bristol. Check out the Comet Express chair lift video. Shortly after loading the video shows someone being pushed down a bank right by some snowmaking pipes.

Nice videos though.
