One Jay skier called in to say that Can Am no longer gets snowmaking? That is news to me.

And I am looking at a recent Jay trail map. What the hell does "Area of Gravest Concern" mean? Boundary lines that are hard to determine?

Along the same lines, here's a recent article on snowmaking at Smuggs, Stowe and MRG (say it ain't so!).

As climate changes, making snow key to resorts

I'm genuinely amazed there are people stupid enough to believe this. Even if the AGW hypothesis is 100% spot-on in every facet (and we know it isnt given empirical results thus far), it hasnt made much of a difference to snow levels yet. Nor will it in 10 years, or 20 years, or 30 years...... Climate change needs serious time to effect "change", much longer than a human skiable lifetime.
