Did a session from about 10:30 to 3:30. Chilly day in the 20's, a little wind on the lifts, sporadic sun.

The re-freeze has been groomed out pretty well. There's a serious layer of hardpack on the bottom, but the surface was pretty good most of the day. The headwall of Smith was somewhat scraped off by the time I left.

They made new snow on some of the trails last night, like Ralph's and Challenger. Those skied kind of slow and were a little choppy as a result. Should improve with another grooming. The other stuff skied like a race course. Favorite trail today was Tenth. Worst trail was Balance Rock, which didn't have much loose stuff on top.

No moguls to be found yet at Wawa.

Hordes of kids rolled in on buses around 3:15. On my last run the lift stopped just before I got on, and then when it restarted I saw why. A little girl had fallen off the lift just before the second tower, probably a 20 foot or so drop onto what was probably hard as concrete snow under the lift. It didn't look too good as she was just splayed out not moving while patrol was apparently talking to her, then I saw the sled headed down. Hope it's not too serious. I wish the young kids would put that safety bar down, but they hardly ever do.
