First day out this year, and I got to check skiing in November off of my Ski Bucket List. Conditions were pretty frozen considering the weather on Friday and my newly tuned skis were hooking more than I would have liked. I only did 3 runs each on Challenger and Ralph's. Indian Summer had the best conditions so I did that half a dozen times and called it a night at 7:30. In the time it took me to take off my boots a micro burst moved in and dumped half an inch of snow in only 5 minutes. I contemplated booting back up, but figured I was better off calling it quits as it was only day 1 of the season.

This was a good warm up as my first 3 runs were terrible as my boots were too tight, and it took about until run 8 or 9 until I really started to feel comfortable on skis again. I always use Wawa as my first day to work out the kinks, and re-acclimate my muscles before heading up to VT and NH.

They started making snow on Conifer so that should be open in a couple days. Hopefully they will have a lot more open when I return probably in 2 weeks as I will be on the Cape all 4 days over Thanksgiving.

Nice. I was there with my daughter from about 4:30 onward. We too were inside at the exact same time as you, having just pulled the gear off. But after peeking out at the new snow, we decided to boot back up and head out for a couple more.

Those last two runs totally made the night. It's really amazing what 1/2" of fresh coverage can do. And I'm glad to see them firing up all those guns.

Hitting them up on Friday with the kids. They should be able to make a ton of snow over the next couple days. Hopefully get a little help from mother nature on Wednesday ...

I was up there this morning. Actually it was surprisingly good, there was some granular but nothing bad. Up until about 11 this morning there was actually very little ice and it was pretty much packed powder. Got a little skied off after that but not terrible. I was really surprised at how good the conditions were given the weather on Friday.

They were blasting the guns all day on conifer. Should have the summit open by this weekend.
