2 hour trip to Wachusett before the chillier than I expected temps got to me. It was 28 when I left home and I dressed for that, then got to the mountain where it was 15 at the summit with winds gusting over 20. Also didn't help that they had 10th lit up top to bottom, which had the lift under the gun as well. 10th was groomed out in most spots, but still needs at least another night. Might be open tomorrow, definitely by Thursday. Also snowmaking was going on on some spots of Conifer and at the bottom of Ralph's.
Conifer was in pretty good shape. Got scratchy as the night went on but good enough to lap 10-15 times. Guns didn't make much a difference for most of it, they were aimed way up high so very dry and you could easily avoid them. At the bottom they were lower and a few would get you in the face if the wind was right.
Challenger and Ralph's had good packed snow that was sticky for some reason. Figured the new snow from today would've dried out but guess not. Look Ma had a new rail at the bottom to add to the 4 features at the top of the park. Good snow there too.
