Conditions: Started as dust on crust, got to POWDER/Chowder pretty quick
Trip Report: A great night at WaWa tonight... arrived in the lot at 2:08PM, was puking snow and 18 degrees. Booted up and got out there, started on the minuteman side, Challenger was great, LookMa was nice, Ralph's was too flat to get good speed going except for the end... The star trail of the day on the minuteman side was Hitchcock... great shape, and the part that parallels Frannie's was going off all night.. .best turns on the hill.
Hit the summit lift, heard lots of chatter from skis and boards on 10th... was a dust on crust situation, that in places never got better as the wind kicked up later in the evening... Connie however was amazing fun top to bottom.
Poached lower smith late in the night after watching a few snowboarders rip it up... Was deep (top of my boots) in places, some scrub brush still sticking through in places, the water bars kept me on my toes...
Skied from 2 until about 7:30 when my legs were done. Had a short break for food at about 5:00.
It was one of those nights where each run was better than the last as the snow kept dumping...
No pics as my gf had the camera and motorola's camera phones suck.
Was interesting to see the windloading happening on the top part of challenger / look ma, I've never seen that before as it was happening.
A great night.
Didn't run into reefer or Austin.
