Trip Report:

Another very short session for me at Wachusett (1:45) as I had to head home to get ready to go to the Bruins game tonight. Nice and chilly day which made for a ridiculously awesome snowmaking show over at Minuteman, especially on Look Ma which must've had a gun every 20-30 feet. Snowmaking also going on Hitchcock top to bottom, the last flat and pitch of Challenger, and the last pitch of Ralph's.

Conifer/Lower Balance: Dust on crust the whole way. The top especially had some slick spots. Lower Balance was open, but almost to the dirt and nothing great. Lower Conifer wasn't as good as last week either, they need to loosen up some snow down there.

10th/Salamander: 10th was in good shape. A bit slick in the middle in some spots but nice to the right side. Lower 10th was like Lower Conifer last week... smooth and rippable. Upper Salamander was almost as much of a mess as Balance. Polar Express was ski on and running faster than last week.

Challenger: Talcum powder at the top, loose pebbles but soft in the middle, and manmade powder at the bottom. Fun run.

Ralph's: PP top to bottom, even under the guns which didn't have as much accumulated on top of the base as Challenger did. Good run though. Minuteman was slow again and ski on.

That's about all for today. I'll be back Friday and then somewhere in VT or NH Sunday.
