Got over to Wachusett for the day session to redeem my voucher for buying 4 bags of Popchips. Got to the base at 8:30 and was a bit surprised that the lifts were not running yet. It turns out that they are not officially spinning them until 9 am midweek now as we are into spring hours, but it was no biggie as they were letting people on beginning at 8:45 am and I was ready to go at 8:50 am. The day started with some frozen granular in less exposed areas with soft snow right out of the gate in more exposed areas. Though, what was frozen generally warmed up by 11 am. The trails served by the Minuteman lift looks like they are shot, so I ended up skiing Tenth Mountain Trail and Smith Walton for much of the day as I skied all day just to make the most of this warm weather and the fact that it may very well be my last day for this season as I'll be busy with other commitments. There's a lot of doubt that Wachusett will make it past the end of this week/the weekend. My opinion is they will probably have to push around snow such as from a few spots in the Minuteman lift area and the trails from Vickery Bowl, including one that is relatively inaccessible, to last more than that as they can generally take snow from a few areas to at least keep a few trails off the Polar Express a bit longer than the end of this coming weekend.

The top of Minute Man has looked like that on Saturday so the fact that it hasn't changed much is pretty good.

Can't recall a year where BOTH the early season and late season were so bad. Half of all seasons seem to have one of them that is no good, but the place wasn't looking too pretty until after Christmas, and now it already looks like mid April. Even in February it was weird seeing the road uncovered and no natural in the woods.

I hope they make it to Sunday. Otherwise I will end my Wawa season with a total of just 7 nights. Doesn't look good

I got a few runs in after 4 today and it was pretty ugly. Super slushy and wet snow, lots of bare spots, ruts, and water puddles. Overall, I don't know what was more depressing: the dirt patches taking over the mountain or the incredible amount of litter covering it.

About the same here. I think I did 6 nights and 3 days this year. Pretty horrid.

Last season, I was there so many times I stopped counting.
