I just don't get trams. Why would you build a new one?

The only reason to build them nowadays is if it is a super steep lift, or spans a large gap/valley/canyon. Which there are very few locations in America like that. And even then 3S gondolas can do those things as well.

If it works for Wachusett, will Nashoba and Bradford be far behind?
I hear they will be part of the $2T infrastructure bill.

Definitely going to be a big construction year for large installations. Someone told me Blue Hills is looking to replace their lift with a 3S similar to Peak 2 Peak.

Yawgoo is putting in a bubble 12 pack with heated, massaging seats and full heads up display Ski The East streaming service on the inside of the bubble. Plus they're increasing their snowmaking capacity to 1000 tower mounted, fully automated fan guns and upgrading their pumping capacity to 1,000,000 gallons a minute from their new fully wind powered desalination plant on Narragansett Bay. They should now be able to open the entire area in approximately 23 minutes after snowmaking begins when the wet bulb temp is below 27 degrees!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Belleayre announced that operating costs for the Gondola were simply too high, and that they will be moving forward with replacing the entire lift with the world’s longest magic carpet. The gondola will be sold to nearby Plattekill where it will replace the Northface lift.
