What kind of a hike would it be from the base lodge up to True Grit? Looks like you go straight up Valley Run under the chair which is a blue

lol, i was just there this weekend. very doable hike up a mellow trail. probably take you about a half an hour or so.
Just my luck too, they probably set up the course the day AFTER i was there. the bumps werent too great on saturday.
oh, and yes, thats exactly the route you would take.

Cool. Iceman is competing both Sat (M) and Sunday (Duals). with training Friday. I'm gonna go up thwere Sunday morning to film the duals, then as soon as he's eliminated we're gonna hoof it back to K to catch the Jets at 3. I'm figuring its a 2-1/2 hour drive

Probably a solid 45 mins. Do you have snow shoes?

size 13 snow boots and yak trax
the whole trail is groomed out hard pack. i dont think you're gonna need snowshoe's on it. lots of grass and rocks in places. Unless they got hammered the last two days that is.

Be careful. You don't want to break your neck in order to save the $.
BTW- why not ask a particular KSC guy for some love???

re: Hiking - I've already hiked to the cmp trail on Mt Ellen, which is ahell of a lot further than this... No worries

I hiked from the base of valley run through greenhorn glades to sunnyside base, it took me about 45 minutes. However I got stuck for a little after a wrong turn in the glades so maybe a little less for you. :sad:
