Especially if they are freshly waxed.

After the last ski day of my season, I throw them in the garage...just like after any other day of skiing. Since it is the start of Passover today, I pose this question: Why should the last day of the season be any different than most other ski days?

If the skis are dirty....which they can get in the spring..I will do a hog wax and if have done thst...I will leave a coat in them. But, if they're not too dirty....I don't do much. Less is more. It's about the skier/rider not the skis/board.

Now....as the good DrJeff mentioned (And I cannot agree more!) there is something to be said about going down to the storage room...busting open a beer or two to get away from the wife and kids. The smell of wax on the iron goes really well with a good beer.

i used to be a fan of the end of season heavy wax and the scrape down at the begining of next season, but, last year i just rode my boards with no scrape and noticed no difference. i'll probably just wax when i think they need it and not deal with the summer wax, see what happens.
