Temps Low 50's cloudy looked like rain was going to come at any minute all day. Pretty Windy. I saw no rain.

Met Ga2ski and family at 9ish in the lot. I had pack problems and slowed the gang down. Was fairly cold for June with a decent wind, About 9.30 after we all geared up we started up the Welch side. Young Ga2ski gave us a lenthy story on the way up alot of Dugga dugga talk. Nice pack by the way,

A strong pace was set to my surpise seeing an infant was being lugged props to them for sharing the outdoors with their son so early in life.

We made it to the Welch summit in 1.40 not bad with a few extented stops to play with the youngster. At the Summit I bumped into Stephen,( a name from the past on the hiking side) He was leading a group of well bahaved kids on an outing.

I had held up our group on our departure, but got a call and had to kind of rush back home so I left everyone at the top of Mt Welch and set a strong pace and finshed the loop. I made it in 2.45. Stopped on the nice rocks overlooking the Ravine for 2 min and just kept going. The temps were so nice and comfortable it was s perfect day to hike. Rain never came.

Sorry Ga2ski& fam I had to leave espeically after you waited for me. Great to be out with friends . Hope to do it again soon.

Bob - thanks for meeting us for the hike. Sorry we were slowing you down. As we left Welch we could see you summitting Dickey. After fighting with my son, to get him back in the backpack (crawling on rocks and playing in dirt is a lot of fun), we completed the hike rather quickly. I think we were in the p-lot at 12:37, just in time to see the ranger give tickets out to all those who had not paid to park. Oh yeah Lil Ga2ski got tired just after the summit of Dickey and the babbling backpack became a quieter one with the occassional snore.

I'll try and get some pictures posted later.

Hopefully we will get out to hike with you again.

You guys hiked at a very fast pace. The slow downs were just good parenting. Great to get out with you. Got to bust my family that even an infant made the hike.
