How's the weather looking for the upcoming week?

Would love to make my first turns on Halloween

I have to say, if they cant stay open, Im not really that impressed.

And weekends only is lame.

But I wish I was there.

It will suck if they can't stay open, but it is what it is. At least they went for it.

I think they did weekends only last year for a while. That's a fair concession to me. It's them saying, "We'll give you skiing, but we're not to totally kill the bottomline by staffing the place for what is likely less than 100 skiers a day midweek."

I'm fine with weekends only as that's pretty much the only time I can ski anyways.

Does not look good for them to remain open. We had a short lived celebration in my house this morning; right up unitl I looked at the NOAA long term. Same thing as last year. They opened and even had top to bottom for a while then all but shut down for about two weeks. skied last year when they had only the top and loading at the midstation. Snow was good and soft but the lines were outrageous. They can only load every other chair and if they are not open top to bottom, the chair stops at midstation to download everyone going down the hill. Total pain. The liines can be absolutely ridiculous and the time up for every lift ride can literally be 25 min. I am sure everyone is jonesing but just keep that in mind if you are going to make a long drive to SR this weekend.

What kind of argument is that? They went balls out to open for 3 days so we could ski and ride and if it's 60 degrees and they have to close that's lame? That's ridiculous...

Neither is there enough midweek traffic this early to warratn staying open then. They are catering to us in opening this early but in the end they can't go in the red too deep over it.

The leaves can wait! ;)

Unfortunately work on my bootsoles has to, for a week, guy/shop in NV can work with the mistakes I made of going with bootfit without regards to type/quality of bootsole plate = non-block...with the one slightly shorter leg, cant on other boot, and little lifting fore/aft....... ...ie leaves and grass have gotten the attention yesterday and will today(for a while)...

I agree with the above posts. Well done, congratulations to Sunday River. In recognition, I'll throw some skier days their way, probably before turkey day!
