Since GSS is in the biz, maybe we can get a group rate.

What do you want your tombstone to say? Me, I want mine to read "Missing, presumed dead"

Just mount a whiteboard and a sharpie on mine and people can write what they want. And if I'm up for it I'll leave messages . . .

Haha..a group rate...hell no..you guys on Alpine Zone have to pay full retail like everybody else..unless you bring in an apples to apples price quote from one of our competitors. We do all different types of crazy tombstones. I'd post a link to our website but I don't need any stalkers. Tons of kids die in motorcycle crashes each year so we do alot of monuments shaped like motorcycles in Jet Black with custom etchings in full color..we also do alot of crypts and a few statues and maseleums. We currently have a 14 foot wide monument coming over on a container ship from China. We did one of a skier recently with an etching and he skied the old school feet close together style..not alot of angulation skiing that way and it said,"He went Big and went home"...lol..we also had one with a beer mug, a guitar, a bingo card, and Neil Young lyrics. Me personally I'm going to be cremated and I'll let relatives deal with my monument..I'm not pre-needing mine..it's creepy to me to have a tombstone in a cemetery while I'm still living but many of my customers prefer that so they don't leave the burden to relatives. It's a darn good industry to be in and very profitable..Holla

I just want a cremation, no headstone. Although I'd probably want something like from the Royal Tenenbaum's-

"He died saving his family from the wreckage of a sinking battleship."

Just turn me to dust and toss me in a river or something. No need wasting land I'm just going to rot into.

Alot of people that get cremated still have a tombstone or at least their name and dates on a family headstone. Right now the cremation rate is 31% and it's on the rise...it's tough for the funeral homes for sure..

I want my ashes to be spread atop Everest. Hopefully my kids are good mountain climbers! :)

There are a couple of companies that will turn your ashes into a diamond. That'd be kind of cool. Helps make haunting easier, too.

On of my best friends died of MS... We skied together and shared rental houses at Hunter all the time.. She wanted some ashed scattered at Hunter... We obliged... And scattered them over a cliff on the Jimmy Heauga trail(A famous skier who has MS) - we now call that turn the "hi Donna" turn...
