Pay big bucks for 3 days at k this weekend or not?

European computer modeling (ECMWF,UKMET) is disagreeing with the American GFS and the Canadian global (GEM). Above, these two models show a wide ranging dispute along the east coast, creating a tremendous amount of uncertainty in the forecast this weekend as it stands on Tuesday.

If the American/Canadian version wins out - It will mean potential for flooding rains taking away a lot of our snow, followed by moderate backlash snows replacing some of what was lossed.

If the European/British versions win out in ground truth, we'll see none to very little precipitation, and a stretch of milder weather will continue along with springlike skiing conditions.

Both the Canadian and the European model is releatively more accurate in the longer range, but here it seems to a wash.

Place your bets?

If I were you, I'd decide at the last minute, if you can. If a compromise is in order, go a day later or come back a day early.

As it is, I can't decide about tommorrow until tommorrow!

.......

ALLSKIING,
All I can say is...northern Maine has a LOT of snow!, quite a few mountains, not many resorts  , but if push comes to shove in a major way....grab some XC/Backcountry gear and drive north-northeastward.
If the weather tanks out on us...there is always Canada(which I've never tried)...always a possibility 8) ...

Gotcha. Just go then. Worse case is if the skiing sucks, you can drink all weekend...

wait

see what the rainman bringeth...
I was at Waterville today (report tommorrow). Rained for 5 mins at noon. Warmed into the 30's, made mashed potatoes, but the skiing was great (so was NASTAR!)

Say a prayer before you go to bed tonight that this precip. event happens in the wee hours and moves quickly, while the temps are lowest at highest altitudes.

Put some pins in the Roemer voodoo doll.

More tommorrow. Family beckons....

Just out of curiosity, where were you going to stay at Killington? My place is supposedly rented for the weekend so just wondering if I will be losing income due to the weather.
