Haven't been in so many terribly bad situations such as those mentioned above... I'm thinking Mt. Ellen, traversing on Elbow using snow feel as my sole guide to where the hell I was going because the fog was so incredibly thick... there's something strangely awesome about not being able to see where you're going though (besides the highly increased risk of injury and everything)...
Related story, first time I went to the summit of Mt. Ellen the trail was clear but both sides of the ridge were full of fog... so no vertigo for me, haha...
