Anything in PA. I just can't justify a trip to the Poconos.

The only two good mountains not worth the drive for me are Whiteface and Smuggs. Would love to do Mt. Ste Anne and La Massiff but thats gotta be 8 hours or so.
I agree that Sunday River is the least crowded of all major resorts. The Oz chair will have empties on the busiest day.
If your an expert skier and live in NY, CT or PA the only unique experiences in Maine and NH that your missing is the snow fields at Sugarloaf, Wildcat and Cannon. All have weather issues.
Go to Killington,Stratton, Mt Snow, Okemo or even Sugarbush on a Sat / Sun and then tell me that they're as crowded as SR. Yeah Right....
I do like the terrain at K-ton, but will never, ever go there on a weekend.
the snow fields really don't look that interesting to me. they look like a small version of top of mansfield. now i might consider a trip to do Mount Katahdin.

This should be at the top of your list. Well worth the drive.Sugarloaf[/B], not completely off the radar, but it is one hell of a hike. Hope to make it one of these day.

You're such a douche. :roll:Whiteface, Killington, Hunter, Sugarbush, Stowe, MRG, and Sugarloaf are all completely off my radar because they all suck...
I can never see myself skiing in NH, other then Tucks. I'm probably missing some great places, but if I'm going to drive east there's too many good places in Vt. to justify the added driving for me.
