This is a fun trip thru memory lane. Shows of my formative years I always watched (we got 2 channels) were Laugh In, Wild Wild West, always Wild Kingdom, Gentle Ben, Skippy (remember those?), Flipper, Gilligan's Island. I was always fond of Mary Tyler Moore show.

How could I have forgotten Laugh In and Wild Wild West? And of course we watched the Ed Sullivan show on Sundays.

I watched all the others too, but Skippy isn't ringing a bell. What was that show about?

I am going to wait and see if anyone else remembers. It is in the same era as Gentle Ben and Lassie (when she was a ranger's dog). Then I will tell you....

Of those I listed, I would bring back Wild Wild West and Laugh In. Many of the shows mentioned can be found somewhere on the satellite/cable networks.

Seinfeld, Seinfeld, Seinfeld!

Also been watching a lot of Gunsmoke lately... I get the Wild West channel free for six months because I just signed on with Charter give me all your money now Cable.

I don't know why but Gunsmoke is just addicting.

Laugh In, def. from the few shows I've seen.

I also used to love watching reruns of the Carol Burnett show.

Def. Cosby show.

And Perfect Strangers. That was another fav.

Classic: Harvey Corman and Tim Conway in any skit, but most memorably the Dentist chair. I am laughing just thinking about it. No takers on Skippy yet?

Now here's a different question: if you could make a sitcom or show about AlpineZone, who would you select to be cast and who would be the actors selected? What genre?

Step Away from the Remote

None.

I turned off broadcast TV in the mid 80s and never looked back! When I turned off the TV, Hill Street Blues was still running.

So I have to answer - None.

mmm....can I just have a walk-on cameo, no lines? I would do it for free. If an actor had to play me, I think....don knotts. I am with skis as Barney was with a gun. The genre would be irrelevent. Who would play you, Trailboss?

Oh wow, some great memories...

I've gotten back into Dukes of Hazzard recently. CMT, 7pm weeknights. The little one asks after dinner: "Dukes car? Dukes car? Waaahhhh hooooo." :D

Other faves that should be in perpetual syndication:
- SOAP (watched this religiously on Com.Central in college)
- Benny Hill (same as above, one half hour later)
- MST3k (same as above, Saturday afternoons)
- Dukes of Hazzard (before the cheesy jump scenes using plastic models)
- A-Team
- CHiPS
- Emergency (did they use 1 amp of sodium bi-carb in every episode?)
- Seinfeld
- Knight Rider
- The Muppet Show

I'm sure I'll think of others.

H.R. Puffnstuff - I did not realize that the shows dated back to the 70's. I bought the DVD, "The World of Sid and Marty Krofft".

Seinfeld - I keep buying the DVD's as they release 'em.

MST3K, for sure; "Get a Life", with Chris Elliot; Does anyone remember an overdubbed Japanese monster show called "UltraMan"?

I would have to cast myself as Kevin from "Wonder Years" just b/c we have the same name, were the same age, and have amazing other similarities. The show was my life, had I not been raised in rural Vermont. Right down to the incredibly awkward relationships with females.

I remember H.R puffin Stiff. I was scared of that show as a kid.
