For me its a tie between:

French fries to speed up and pizza to slow down.
Don't ski like Marc.

More seriously though, the biggest advice for me was "get properly fitting, quality boots with custom foot beds" - I was finally able to transfer the tweaks in the technique to the snow instead of just swimming around in my boots. I don't know if this qualifies as ski tip but I always like to throw money at the problem.

Hand position. Anytime I get out of position for whatever reason I drive my hands down in front of me and it usually pulls everything together.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

Don't be afraid to point your skis down the mountain, not across it.

While hand position has been a big one for me, probably the single best tip was given to me by JimG. at Hunter in December 2004 and that was to get out as many days as possible. I got in 25 days that season. 21 the next (second daughter was born that January) and 34 days in last season. Pretty good considering we have two little ones at home. Aiming for 30-40 this season. It's all about the miles.

Works for me

I agree. Practice practice practice. Ski ski ski. And when you go, make it a day, at least (6) hours of skiing. None of this 10-3 with a break for lunch. This way you can improve on so many levels in different types of conditions. It seems every day out in New England is different than the last, and takes slight adjustments. This can be broken down even further into morning/afternoon which can often be two different types of skiing experiences in the same day!

Right on. I try to ski longer days when I can. Even for my night sessions this year, I'm going to aim for a full 4 hours. Might only be 3 most of the time, but 6-10pm is the goal.

...skiing tip anybody ever gave you?

It wasn't really a ski tip, really, but..

When you doing it as a family event, make sure the kids are having fun. If they are, chances are, you are. When you push to have them improve when their not having fun, then it turns into work and you just get frustrated.

So I guess it backs up some other posts.
