Hey,

Making my first trip to the Northeast for skiing (well not just skiing but will be in the area). I have never been out that way and am looking for opinions on what Mountain I should hit up as I only have time to stay/drive to one area.

Anyways, my options are as follows:

Lake Placid/Whiteface - The closest in terms of drive time

Stowe - A little further

Jay's Peak - About the same as Stowe

The other option I have left is to go to Quebec City and ski at either St. Annes and/or Le Massif.

As I said I only have time for one stop. If you had to choose which would it be?

Thanks

personally off mountain isn't the most important thing to me. Although, I've been to the Burlington area and absolutely love that city. I am more of a leisurely type skier. I probably wouldn't go past any black diamond slopes and like the long, scenic type trails. Good snow is also good.

Those aren't places I really think of when I think of cruisers. Maybe Stratton, Mt. Snow, or Okemo?

In my mind, northern New England
Stowe - good cruiser trails from the gondola and Spruce Peak, of course there's the rest of Mansfield to challenge you; quaint town with lots of great dining options, spas for non-skiers, Burlington nearby.
