Related to the "are u a one trick pony" thread. With the pending storm and anticipated snow falls, where would you go this weekend? A place where you find powder stashes, glades that won't ruin the skis, soft bumps or would you stick to the groomers b/c the new snow would make ripping fun?

Me, I'm undecided, one side wants to go to Ragged and hit the ravine. The other side, go to the soft bumps.

I'm going to Loon on Saturday...

I can get there quick from home, I can get home quick (I have to run Mass. High School State Championships for fencing on Sunday), my girlfriend has the college pass from Boyne (SR, SL, Loon), and we can crash at her Aunt's house in Lincoln the night before...

I keep looking at the forecast and getting more and more excited. I'm hoping that we end up with a monster storm down this way for Sunday so that State's is canceled and I can ski on Sunday too.

The hell with the boards that is why they make ptex. I am sick and tired of hardpack and groomers. I want woods and powder anywhere i can find it. With that being said I am committed to Plattekill this weekend. I will probably hit the north county on monday.

Thinking Magic at this point. Even if conditions don't turn out to be the best, can't beat a 20 buck lift ticket.

Am going - Sugarloaf.

Would go - that often depends on accomodations. If it's a weekend thing, probably Wildcat so I can stay at my family's place in Conway.

Day trip? Options are endless and based on most snow.

At this point, anywhere. I'm having a friend up for the weekend and she is not a skier. Not that hanging out with her is a bad thing, but having this new snow and not skiing..... :x

I haven't been there this season either. It's right smack in the middle of what the forcasts are saying should be the biggest snow. And only being open Thurs-Sun may provide for better conditions.

Hopefully the dump will allow them to open up trails...the last trail report from there was looking pretty bleak....will keep checking the trail report next few days, see how it shaping up.
