The hell with the boards that is why they make ptex. I am sick and tired of hardpack and groomers. I want woods and powder anywhere i can find it. With that being said I am committed to Plattekill this weekend. I will probably hit the north county on monday.

Christ belleayre was soaked and most trails suffered from large clear ice patches..Whats left at Plattekill

At this point, anywhere. I'm having a friend up for the weekend and she is not a skier. Not that hanging out with her is a bad thing, but having this new snow and not skiing..... :x

You need to not resume dating until May at the earliest.. ;)

The goods seem to be up North, but unfortunately I'm limited this weekend to a day trip on Saturday. Any thoughts on which of the options within striking distance of NYC would be the best? The Catskills look awful unless this storm surprises. Anyone know what's going on in the Berkshires? I've been interested in checking out Berkshire East based on reviews I've read on this site, but it is difficult to figure out anything on their website. Four hours-ish is about the limit I can persuade my friend with a car to drive, so Gore or Southern Vermont are also options. I got my fill of flat groomers last weekend, so I'd love somewhere that had some natural terrain of any kind open and skiable. Any thoughts?

Screw the vertical blinds. They can wait till mud season. Get out there now! We have lots of fresh powder! 20 inches since monday, 1-3 inches today, another storm on sat night and sunday, another on tues, weds, thurs next week! Wow! I can't see out the windows of my house now. Running out of room to plow the snow.

Any guesses to how long the Single line will be on Saturday? I bet it will take about as long to just skin up. I'm avoiding that place at all costs on Saturday...

Josh Fox anticipating another 6-10 inches of snow Saturday into Sunday. The MRV is the place to be this weekend!

Mt. Abram tomorrow - really looking forward to the crowd free, fairly untracked very interesting terrain of this little mountain.

They dropped the ropes on all the liftline ropes today, I guess in preparation for the Triple Crown event tomorrow? Pretty crazy being able to ski the Single and Double lines without having to detour around anything. Combine that with all the events going on tomorrow and the weather this week and I suspect things will be busy tomorrow. Which is great because I like it when things are busy at MRG, but those are the days I don't go. Tomorrow is still up in the air but I am focusing on the roads less traveled if possible.
