Which Goggle lens color is the best with flat light?

I'm looking to upgrade over my cheapie Scott goggles I've had forever, mostly due to the fact that they suck in flat light. They have black lenses which don't seem to be ideal.

I'm looking for a cheap goggle ( under $50) that deals with flat light well. Suggestions would be great, but I'm also trying to find out which lens color is the best.

I have the Smith Stance goggles and very happy with them. They came with a blue/purple tint I use in all, conditions and an Amber lens I haven't yet tried. Got them on evo outlet for around $40

The Smith lenses that are best in low light are the Red Sensor Mirror, the Sensor Mirror and the Gold Sensor Mirror:

Choose a lens by trying them at a shop, then pick the frame that the lens will go in (depending on factors like fit and cost):

I have the Regulator with an RC36 lens (which an AZer recommended several years ago)- a versatile combo that works very well in all conditions. Got it on sale too.

I have the Smith Sensor Lense for Flat light and it works really well. MyWife prefers a straight old clear lense (have them for night skiing in PA) over Yellow which is supposed to be good in flat light. I haven't tried her yellow lense yet to see if I agree.

This is the lens that I use for flat light/non sunny days - I've had it now for about 5 seasons and love it! Works great for my eyes at creating definition in flat lift conditions

Yeah, I heard the HI Yellow is the absolute best for extreme flat light.

Yellow is the best for flat light. The yellow increases the contrast whereas the clear and other colors just let the light in. The percentage of light transmitted is not the only factor. I had a pair of yellow lenses for sunglasses and I would use them to drive at night.

I've pretty much always skied with yellow lenses. I've tried multiple other color lenses over the years, but always end up going back to yellow because I find the color the best in flat light. Even on sunny days it's what I wear in case the weather changes and I encounter flat light.

I would also agree that yellow may be the best choice for flat light. Don't have yellow lense goggles but I do use yellow glasses for sprig skiing in flat light conditions and it's great.
For goggles, I find that orange seems to be a good choice for a wide range of light conditions, including flat light.

Used my RC36 Amber lenses yesterday at Wildcat. Worked out well in mostly sunny with occasional passing clouds
