Just a silly thought...what happens when the P2P craps out halfway across at 1400 ft. above the valley floor? Fun rescue, eh?
The span over Fitzsimmons creek would be evacuated by independent evac-drives located on the two towers adjacent to the span. The evacuees would be brought back up the track ropes to the closest tower. Most evac systems like this use a special evacuation cabin to reach the stranded cabins but I don't know exactly how the Peak to Peak's works. Evacuation from the spans above ski areas could be accomplished by ropes. They've been practicing evacuation lately.

The peak to peak lift doesn't go high enough to wow the tourons in the summer.
I've seen some pictures on W/B's website that indicate the views up and down Fitzsimmons Creek from 1400' above the valley are incredible. I couldn't insert the most impressive picture but this one is good.
