White Face: Apr -01 to Apr-03
Temps generally mid to upper 20's up top. High 30s to 40s on the bottom.
Conditions varied day to day but basically firm on top (sometimes very ;) to loose granular to spring bombs. Weather was constant light snow at altitude to full blown dumps high up. Accumulation was minimal though. Amazingly beautiful snow squalls moved through the valley yesterday. Today was bluebird skies. Great way to finish the season.

Wanted to go back for spring skiing. Got it in spades. Bumps on Mackenzie where amazing. Victoria was good too. Actually, spring skiing so pretty much wherever you found bumps; they was good.

On main summit, Skyward was a bit slick on the headwall, (Friday and Saturday) but a quick slide put you in fun stuff. Was my favorate run on Saturday. Cloudspin looked sketchy and was actually blue in places today. But there were talented skiers hitting it. Slides were closed Fri and Sat. Never skied the main summit today so don't know about today

The 10th mountain glades were in great shape too. (North facing???) Lapped that a lot Saturday. But in the end my fav was the Mountain run pod, had a bit of everything. Friday was tough because the mountain run chair was not spinning so had to ski down to the bottom each time. But the MR chair did spin both weekend days.

Wilmington was firm up top, and great big push piles below. Fun leg burning runs.

I thought I was in pretty good ski shape being the end of the season, but between the spring snow and the big vert with constant pitch I was wiped today. Skied to 1PM then hit the road. Also retro day today. Lottsa smiles.

WF produced big for me. I'm looking forward to coming back a lot!

Oh yeah, a plug for Jack Rabbit Hostel. Cheap, clean and Dave who runs it is a nice guy.

Did you get a chance to hit lookout below? Those were some giant bumps in there. Its so steep that you can jsut jump from one bump to another. So some pretty good rippers in mac all weekend. Guessing you must have been one of them.

Did a prison break hoyts yesterday. Some funny stuff this weekend.

Nope, I do sux, seriously. But the bumps were wicked fun even for a hack like me. Did not do lookout - above my paygrade. Funny chit on the jailbreak. Rode up with a guy who did the same on empire with some friends. If they ever get snow making on hoyts, that would be $.
