Looking for info on trips anyone has done. We’re looking for a light hiking trip. I’m currently a bit overwhelmed by the choices but definitely a mountain-based situation, glaciers and the like.

We’d originally planned on Chile, but seems a bit COVID restricted. Not bad, but you need a Mobility Pass for bars and restaurants, which takes weeks to get, and it generally seems more restrictive than where I live which I’m not looking for. Also, random testing possible for air travelers which can potentially kill your trip.

Argentina appears to have none of that. They require medical travel insurance and that’s the worst thing I see. This would be for September. It’ll be chilly but that’s fine.

Literally any trip stories are appreciated, I don’t know anyone who’s been.

Yes, indeed. The coronavirus pandemic has changed the plans of most people all over the planet, and some people have not even managed to fulfill their dreams because of it. Regarding your question, I have been to Argentina several times and flew there with the help of the tour operator Expedia. They have many different offers both in terms of the area you want to visit and in terms of pricing. It all depends on your capabilities. Also, just in case, save the contact expedia customer service . If you have any difficulties during the flight, be sure to let them know about it.

In September of last year, I went hiking in Argentina and had an incredible time. I traveled throughout Patagonia, mostly in the El Chaltén and Fitz Roy Massif regions. It was a cool day, ideal for trekking. A great short hike near Fitz Roy that offers breathtaking views of the mountain and glacier is the Laguna de los Tres path.

I also traveled to Bariloche, where the Circuito Chico route boasts lovely views of the lake and strolling lanes. https://gowithguide.com/argentina is an excellent resource for finding hiking routes, local suggestions, and other travel advice if you are seeking for more in-depth planning. Argentina is a great option for your hiking trip because of the beautiful natural surroundings and the lenient COVID regulations. 🍻

There are places that still have covid regulations?
