We did earlier! We had a beaut of a storm around 5 PM. We had had a few rumbles throughout the night also. It's still raining here and every so often there are rumbles too.

North Central MA, east of the Quabbin Reservoir.

We had ongoing thunder from about 2.30 to midnight in Boston. Some pretty close lightning strikes, too. Heavy rain, but not much wind. Nice storm, overall.

Lots of storms in the distance all day, but as usual for this area, they swerved to the north and south.

Except one, which left a lightning strike that was no more than 100 yards away - I think it must have hit the water tower behind me on the hill. The sound was instantaneous and was a rip, not a roll, rumble, or bang.

Us too on the northern tip of the Quabbin. We just missed two doozies according to NWS radio - one in Troy and one in Amherst. We had a few close strikes, but nothing suggesting of armageddon. Nice to have the rain though.

We had 3 storms go just south of us (they hit Auburn and Oxford, which are a whole 4 miles out), one go just north by about 5 miles, and a weaker one go right over us. There was one good lightning strike where 5 bolts appeared at once and made a symbol kind of like the Sprint commercial or whoever it is with the 5 bars and they stayed for a good 3-4 seconds. Otherwise, not much except for a few rumbles of thunder, some lightning, one good wind gust (of about 40 MPH), and a good rainstorm after 10. We got 3 Severe thunderstorm warnings though.

just got our electric back a few hours ago
the storm was awesome, we were sitting outside under our awning watching it and then the lights went out. our pool which i had taken time to vacuum out that morning is now pea green and brimming to the top. the town of ridgewood got hit very hard, there are uprooted trees and huge branches down everywhere. the paper had said power would be restored everywhere by 9 pm tomorrow. i am glad we are one of the lucky ones with the lights back on!!!!
