Mount Snow will on Launch Pad. I'm not sure if anyone will make a run at serious base building yet though. It still seems too early. Maybe Sunday River will. I guess Killington might start on the North Ridge - who knows?

The forecast isn't looking so good for Mount Snow currently. Especially at the base.

Oof. It doesn't. I have to imagine humidity is also going to be too high in most places.

Alot will be clearer by tomorrow night. Those starting in the next few days should beat the opening tentative days. If not, it looks like a real cold window at the end of next week into early November. My guess is K, Mt snow and SR will be giving it a go in the next 24 hours. K maybe the earliest due to the front passing through VT 1st.

I like this site, just pop in the zip and you get the wet bulb temp.

Weekend looks to be a bit too warm to hold onto any snow...IIRC. Source: WCAX morning forecast. Coming soon though!

I'll second that one. Way too much moisture in the atmosphere AND ground tonight.

Other than "blow for show" IMHO, you'll probably will not see any "full out" snowmaking efforts in the next few days as the predicted window of favorable wetbulb temps is a short one.

KMart has made it clear they don't have an interest in being the first to open unless that means others wait to open later. I think it would be great if they chaged their tune on this, but Powdr has been pretty predictable. Why change now?

I didn't see much incentive for SR to puch for Halloween again this year as they had set theiur tentative date a week before everyone else, but now that K and Mt. Snow have moved their dates up, perhaps Boyne will put down the hammer.

But I'll say this, if K changed their tune and said they would open on Halloween and SR didn't, I'd make the drive.
