Winter Park, COLO.-December 12, 2011- Winter Park Resort is giving visitors and mountain-lovers more to enjoy this Holiday Season. The entire month of December promises to be a holiday haven for families and all visitors while they experience mountaintop dining, a torchlight parade and fireworks. The close proximity of Winter Park to the Denver area allow guests the option to drive up for each day's events or stay and take advantage of holiday lodging perks.
Torchlight Parade

Join us for the annual Traditional Torchlight Parade on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011 at Winter Park Resort. The event begins with Christmas carols around the bonfire at the base of Winter Park Resort, next to the Zephyr Lift at 4pm. Then, a procession of torch-bearing skiers and riders begin their way down Lower Hughes trail, followed by Santa Claus and his merry helpers. A spectacular fireworks display and snowcats adorned with Christmas colors light up the slopes in a Christmas tree formation to conclude the festivities.
Immediately following the show at 6pm, visitors are welcome to attend Christmas Eve interdenominational services located in the lower level of the Balcony House and Catholic Church services located in West Portal Level 4. Enjoy diverse drink selections and a newly added appetizer menu by a heartwarming fire. Gondola rides leave from the Zephyr Express Lift and tickets can be purchased for $10 per person.
