So I am heading to Stratton tomorrow, but want to ski a different area the 1st day (and if it is cheaper than the $47 half-day ticket, all the better.)

I see on Ascutney's website under news it says, "REDUCED ticket prices! $25:"

I called them up, and they confirmed, $25 the rest of the year, adults and juniors.

I will be running the trails at Ascutney tomorrow!

yup, it is definitely that time of year when ski areas need to be adjusting ticket prices based on the quality and quantity of their product. i know ski areas need to make a profit, but there comes a time when you gotta cut your loses and just make a buck any way you can. $25 is respectable. i am sure there are lots of other cheap tickets too. but i would rather pay full price for a mountain almost completley open.

Steve: if you're heading to Stratton on Wednesday and you're from either Mass. or Rhode Island (with a driver's license as proof), the skiing is FREE all day Wednesday 3/22. I'm not sure where you live but I thought you might like to know. Friday 3/24 they're offering the same deal to CT and NJ residents.

I live in Mass so I'm heading up on Wed. for FREE skiing.
