So let's see, this means that in this coming year any existing, or new, on-the-mountain condos might be a "hot ticket" investment...y/n? THEN, in the next spring/summer another road of condos will be built in front of the existing condos...and THEN another road of condos...and ANOTHER..... Ah, the weekend Outdoor experience in the wilderness for all the middle-class...taking up ~half the resort's acreage.
Development(condos & golf courses) is what its all about for the resorts....and the old-schoolers will occasionally stop on the groomed landscape and point out to friends..."Between that 8th and 4th road's dumpsters is where a few of us used to hit the brook and its waterfall every weekend...":daffy:

I'm pretty sure Intrawest sold off most of the developable real estate around W/B years ago in an effort to reduce it'd debt load.

Now its time for Vail to gobble up Peak Resorts. Well, maybe AFTER their financial situation gets even worse...

I was thinking the same thing myself. Vail just got into the Midwestern game in the last year or two, Peak's bread and butter. Mount Snow could really blow up if it became Vail's eastern crown jewel.

Oh just buying more stuff with all the extra money they have. Meanwhile they can't find enough employees to staff any of their resorts. Also, the employees they do find are paid with peanuts.

How about these jerk offs buy some employee housing and increase wages to a living amount.

Vail is garbage.

They'd just get gobbled up on the cheap in the event that Vail somehow ran itself into the ground. MTN's sick price reacted favorably to the announcement, so the equity community seems to not think it's that bad of an idea.
