Just got this email from the boss at Jiminy Peak:

Word on the street
We just wanted to get everyone in the mood- it might be rainy today, but here's what is coming in the next week: A note from Brian Fairbank-

What a weather forecast!

Snowmaking begins Monday night and continues every night all week, with several days of snowmaking around the clock. The cold air is here for 10-14 days straight with 2 chances for coastal snow storms. The first one is next weekend and the second one is Thanksgiving day or during that weekend.
I have never seen this early season pattern.
We know enough to never make promises, however it sure is encouraging. What a great way to start off a season.
Provided this forecast is accurate for snowmaking, we will probably open 3 chairs next weekend with Cricket, Novice and Express. The trail count will be 8-10.
Let's do an e-coupon for opening weekend priced at $29.

Thanks for the heads up. If they open next weekend I'll be there.
