The Pizza at the Trout River Brewery is my favorite. It is in Lyndonville   . The brewery used to be in East Burke but moved to a bigger place in Lyndonville a few years ago.

What a ridiculous set of choices.....

You mean to tell me any of those poll pizza's can beat one of those PERFECT pies you can get for $2.99 at Gas Marts all over the state ?

You know, the ones made three days earlier that spin around endlessly in those glass cases by the register ? There's even an oil spritzer that juices them up on the hour ! Sheesh.....

I have done the Stowe and SB options....both excellent, but very different at the core. No vote from me due to my lack of discipline and discretion with relation to all things pizza pie (and calzone).

As long as I'm on a roll here....a show once on cable had best 'za in like 10 major american cities. The NYC place had a special wood/gas combo oven, and the owner mentioned it heated to, if I recall, 1200 instead of most pizza oven's 600. A pie cooked in 90 seconds....so no time to chat up any hotties at the register or you'd have a black carbon frisbee on your hands.

Dial-A-Pizza on the Cambridge/Somerville line has the best pizza ever. At least, the $5 large cheese pickup special is great. We used to walk over, grab the pie, and eat it on the way home. Damn good stuff. Just the right grease, crust just crisp enough to stand up. Good stuff.

Green Peppers in Middlebury is my favorite. I've heard that Trout River is out of this world.

If you're based in the Burlington area for a ski trip, Marco's on Williston Road in S. Burlington has the best pizza in metro Burlington IMO.
For Sugarbush and/or Midd, definately American Flatbread. Green Peppers is pretty good too.

There is absolutely nothing better than a summer evening, in the field behind American Flatbread with a frisbee (discraft actually) a draft and a slight sunburn.....

The only one on the list I've been to are outback and pizza jerks. I didn't think Pizza Jerks' pizza was all that good, used to be a place next door to it by the Grist Mill that had really good pizza, but they went out of business. Outback is pretty good, but could get pretty crowded during the season. So when I want pizza, I just head into Rutland. :)

Ramunto's Pizza in Rutland is pretty darn good. There are also locations in Middlebury & West Leb and coming soon to St. Johnsbury.
SRO- where in Rutland is Cara Mia?

House of Pizza in StJay and Lyndonville. Fifth best pizza I have had in my lifttime, best I have had in VT so far. Luckily, they are located right down the street from where I live!

A couple of blocks south of the downtown green on Strong St, Ramunto's is alittle further up the street. My friend says Gilley's is also good tho known mainly as a sub shop. Course nothing compares to a pizza in NYC or Boston.
