I have never skied there but I certainly would give it a go. Alas, 6 years and not much as a shovel in the ground.
I remember doing day trips to Jay...4.5 hours up, ski, 4.5 hours back. Good Times! I think I only did that 3-4 times.

To repeat myself from the 5 year old post above - it will never happen.
Since this was announced in 2014, there have been 2 major reasons why this has not happened and will never happen - no money and location. Here is a 62 pager of discussion:

I don't think the money is there, which is obviously the largest factor, but I would disagree location is a problem. Northeast skiers have figured out that going North provides more reliable conditions, and people aren't afraid to travel for them (see Jay, Saddleback, etc).
