Was on bear at 730, at 8 got a call that i had to head home to ct, got 8 amazing runs off bear, sky peak and south ridge and bolted at 920, i video that line of cars on bears road and it went all the way to east mtn road, i think having to leave may have been blessing in disugise but god dang that mtn is fire right now

Great skiing today, conditions excellent everywhere but most crowded day of the year. Woods were skiing great. parking and driving was crazy, cars half way down bear access rd and down the main access rd all the way to lookout tavern and down rt 4 at skyship. On the mtn had lines but wasn't as insane as I expected especially considering superstar and skyship were broke down most of the afternoon. I know new lifts need some time to work the kinks out but superstar goes down all the time. It's starting to smell like a lemon

New lifts do not need to work out the kinks, thatโ€™s not a thing.

Amazing day. There were lines and some slopes were crowded but the mountain was incredible today.
Cant agree more then the 12" KILLINGTON recieved made the moutain ride about as good as it could. The Snow in the woods was feet deep. My arm couldn't touch snow bottom most areas. Had to stuff arm post holes with snow when trying to get leverage to push myself vertical.

A ski lift is not like a phone where you have a very controlled manufacturing environment and process. Every lift is unique and very complex engineering project. I'm never surprised when new lifts especially detachables having unexpected issues to debug.

Edit. To truly ensure that a new lift ran flawlessly after opening, I think you'd basically need to "production test" ie run it, with load under regular weather events, for an entire season.
