Extreme was the word of the day on Thursday.

A ton of snow, and a ton of cold.

Weatherwise, it was brutally cold on the lift, the high did not break zero, and with the wind up top it was numbing. Enjoy the pictures, they hurt to take :p

With the weather the way it was, we decided to stay in the woods, where we ski slower and work up a ton of body heat. Overall ,it was a good plan, and had a great day.

To give a perspective on the amount of snow up there, ski patrol dropped ropes on both the number 4 and 5 cliffs on the single, something I haven't seen before.

On with the pictures...

Beautiful and crisp, slalom hill I believe.

To get a perspective on the snow depth, that was a decent sized log, at least 12-14 inches in diameter.

More slalom hill, or maybe canyons, can't recall

Slalom hill again, this trail was skiing very well.

Looking off towards Stowe, wonderfully clear air.
