Today, for the 1st time, I used a GPS program in my Blackberry to track my runs. I don't think it's going to be very useful for tracking vert with out manipulating the data a bit, and I really don't feel like doing that right now.

It picked up my max speed for the day at 26mph, but for some reason, it's only showing the last handful or points on the Google Earth file. The webpage shows all of the points that were transmitted.
It also shows that the total distance for this track was 7 miles. That would include lift and lodge time. Using a guesstimate of 45% snow distance, 50% lift distance and 5% lodge, that would put the distance skied at 3.15 miles.

The timestamps are also an hour off (DST) but the time on my BB is normal.
Anyway, here's the link to the map and the Google Earth file is attached

So you're 5% higher (at least in elevation) after the ski day? That sounds about right for me after an average ski day. After a good to epic day its about 25-50% higher at the end of the day for me. :)

That is pretty cool that its all from your blackberry. Which model do you have and do you pay an extra monthly fee for the GPS feature?

The %'s are just a wild guess (and distance, not vert).

I have an 8703e with Sprint. I have an unlimited data plan.
