The Wildcat Quad maybe my favorite lift in all of New England. Pretty incredible the length of the trails both linear and vertical that you can access in six minutes.

Yup...that thing is remarkable. It's amazing after 2 hours when you realize how much skiing you've done because the thing is so damn fast.

Glad you enjoyed it! And, yes, the HSQ rips! Sounds like it wasn't cranked up due to winds (?). They had some power surges last w/e and it can stop just as abruptly. We find ourselves taking the Tomcat once in a while to give our legs a rest.

We did notice yesterday (Sunday) that the Wildcat lift was running at a slower speed for part of the day, at other times it was cranked up to full speed. Our 4th Sunday in a row at WC, skiing basically from open to close.....have yet to wait more than a minute in a line for the HSQ.

Unlike the prior 2 Sundays, when we were skiing fresh powder, yesterday was basically a groomer day. Wildat, Lynx, Catapult all had firm, edgable, FAST surfaces that held up well through the day without much icing up. Fun day to just rip high speed, non stop top to bottom runs.

Cold temps, but plenty of sunshine kept it reasonably comfortable.

Several times we'd go in for a break and be surprised how tired the (52 and 53 year-old) legs felt once we sat down. Then we'd realize that we just skied 4 or 5 top to bottom runs (8 - 10 K vert) in a very short period of time since the last break, with only the 6 minute lift ride between runs.

Under those conditions, I can't think of anyplace in the northeast that gives you more vert per hour than Wildcat.
