I know there have been a few reports already from Friday and Saturday at Mt. Snow, but I just wanted to re-iterate how great the conditions were. (Rub it in the faces of everyone that didn’t ski this w/e). Bluebird with cool breeze Friday, overcast to sun poking out with no wind on Saturday. Was solo Friday, with my buddy Chris Saturday.
The North Face was what it was all about. All the trails mentioned were great! Chute had the best coverage, but Challenger and Jaws were just as fun. Did them all several times. Skied Ripcord once each day. Perhaps our favorite run Saturday was PDF, to Lower Epiphany, to Lower Challenger. Great spring corn conditions!
Must have crossed paths with all of you Dr. Jeff, Momma Bear, Zand, and Skijay.
May have shared a lift with you Friday skijay. Some dude told me he just skied Ripcord, and I later saw him hitting it again, maybe you?
Saw someone in the Main Lodge Saturday just before 10:00 that may have been Dr. Jeff? I had come in to meet up with my friend. Without the brew fest helmet, I couldn’t make a call, probably should just start asking………………………
Too bad nobody showed up Saturday, you couldn’t even give a ticket away in the parking lot. The North Face could definitely open next weekend with at least four trails including Chute…………………..Carinthia doesn’t do it for me. Onward to Killington now………
One other note - this has to be the most corn harvesting I’ve ever done in one spring in my eight years of serious skiing. What a great spring it has been despite no snow for the most part. Cold nights rock! Good planning helps. Amazing how long the base depths have lasted.
