they set in this time of year-
Folks getting all iritable- start dreaming about seeded bumps fields- or ski offs at big K- the trees up at Jay. To warm to ski but to cool for anything else
so how do ya deal with it? post up some anger? go someplace warm? head out on your hog? mountainbike down a rock bump field? throw down a ski off challenge- for next season already? drink heavily? headbut a guy at a party?

Withdrawal sucks. Maybe I'll put my ski boots on this weekend for a little stoke.

The months of May and October are my two least favorite of the year. Withdrawal from skiing in May when it's not warm enough yet to enjoy/experience the things I love about the summer. Withdrawal from summertime activities in October because skiing hasn't begun.

I'll still jones in the summer from time to time, but it's always at it's worst in May and October.

i get realllly cranky after my season wraps up and my wife lets me be. several years ago i invested a few bucks in a stereo rig. when i get home from work, i walk over to my rig and fire up my music til my kids go to bed. this helps me the most. again, my wife lets me be. it took her sometime to figure out. in fact, she figured it out before i did and did not make sense to her, but she accepted it and lets me be.

worst part for me is I didn't know my last day would be my last...thought I'd get at least another day up at the river. oh well, at least the last day was in a foot of fresh in Utah. I'd head up to Tucks but after traveling for half the winter I can't really take the time away from the preggo wife and daughter...not to mention all the projects that need doing around the house.
I'll suffer from withdrawals constantly until I ski again...I'm immersed in it at work all summer long, no escape or repreive.

x2 on that.

We've at least been able to make a lot of trips up to VT to get things done up there. Just being there helps..and seeing Maple Valley every time we go down the road helps to.

I'll start to get p!ssed once the hot, muggy weather sets in. The older I get, the less I've been able to deal with that. The idea of ever retiring in FLA seems like hell.
